Special Education
Welcome to South Madison's Special Education Department!
The Special Education Department of South Madison Community Schools administers programming required by the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) and the State of Indiana Article 7 statutes and regulations. We are a member district of Hamilton Boone Madison Special Services Cooperative.
We believe in the potential of every student to learn and succeed. Our inclusive programs seamlessly integrate special and general education, fostering a holistic approach that prioritizes student achievement. By providing accessible and inclusive services, we create pathways for all students to thrive. Our dedicated staff are committed to ensuring that each student receives the support they need, exactly when they need it. We are dedicated to creating an educational environment that embraces diversity, empowers students to discover their passions, and equips them with the skills and knowledge to thrive in an ever-changing world.
